Check the license and concern
M.D. physicians go to the Board of Medical Examiners. D.O. physicians go to the separate Board of Osteopathic Medicine. Both boards license physician assistants: check which board issued the PA's license before selecting a route. A PA complaint must not be assigned solely from the supervising physician's degree.

- Medical Examiners: use the online complaint link, or mail/fax the fillable PDF to 9600 Gateway Drive, Reno, NV 89521; fax 775-688-2553.
- Identify the professional and patient, dates, treatment location and any second opinion. The paper form has a 2,500-character summary field and a truthfulness-attestation box. It expressly says not to include medical records or additional documentation with the form.
- Osteopathic Board: use File a Complaint on its official homepage. Its linked intake could not be read here. Call 702-732-2147 to confirm signature, release, attachments and offline filing requirements for the D.O. or PA; do not apply the Medical Examiners form rules to this separate board.

What this route may not provide
The Medical Examiners board reviews possible Medical Practice Act violations and can impose license sanctions. It cannot reduce or refund ordinary fees; it distinguishes possible billing fraud or services never provided from routine billing disputes. The osteopathic Board confirms licensing and disciplinary authority, but its complaint-remedy details were not readable in this check.

Do not guess about confidentiality
The Medical Examiners FAQ describes complaints and investigations as nonpublic unless formal charges are filed; charges and outcomes then become public. The paper form requests complainant and patient identity. Anonymous acceptance and identity disclosure to the subject were not established. The osteopathic route's anonymity and confidentiality rules also remain unverified.

Filing deadlines unverified for both boards
A filing deadline was not established by this check for either regulator; ask promptly. The Medical Examiners FAQ estimates four weeks to three months or more for initial investigation, followed by further reviews. That is not a filing period or a promise of final resolution. No osteopathic processing estimate was verified.

What may happen after filing
Medical Examiners staff assess jurisdiction, investigate, and obtain medical, legal and committee review. The matter may close, settle, or proceed to formal charges and hearing. The osteopathic investigation stages could not be checked.
